Khloé Kardashian is revealing a way she “offended” her ex Tristan Thompson after their son, Tatum, was born. In a new interview, she shared that she wasn’t fully convinced their baby boy, who is now 1, was theirs when she first saw his face. So she did the only logical thing she could, she made Tristan take a paternity test… more than once!
“I made Tristan do three DNA tests for Tatum. He was so offended,” Khloé revealed during an appearance on the SHE MD podcast with Dr. Thais Aliabadi and Mary Alice Haney. She said that she only requested multiple tests because she felt Tatum “doesn’t look like” her or Tristan.
“I remember she [her doctor] was like, ‘You’ve already done a DNA test!’ I go, ‘I need to do another one, I need to figure it out,'” she said.
Khloé also said that she even asked her younger brother, Rob Kardashian, if he “ever donated sperm somewhere” because Tatum “looks just like my brother.”
“In this family, that would not surprise me, but that would be so disgusting,” she joked. Fans have been quick to point out the similarities between her son and brother, whom she called “one of my favorite people,” whenever she posts pictures of Tatum on social media.
She also revealed that Tatum reminds her of someone else special to her: her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr. “My son’s a year and a half, and he’s sarcastic, and my dad had a really dry, silly, just crazy sense of humor, and there’s glimmers of my dad in Tatum, and I’m like this is so freaking weird, but it’s just how God works, and I love it,” she shared.
Despite asking for multiple paternity tests, Khloé and Tristan are in a good place as co-parents. “My ex Tristan is an incredible father. I don’t want this to be a bashing thing,” she said. Shortly after they decided to do the embryo transfer that resulted in Tatum’s birth, Khloé found out Tristan cheated and was expecting a child with another woman.
“He made mistakes, but he’s the nicest guy. And we get along so well now. We’re not meant to be together, but he was meant to be the father of these kids,” she said. “I’ve seen some other fathers that are not great fathers, and I’m very grateful that I have one that wants to be in their lives, that’s active every single day even though he doesn’t live here full-time.”
