In Belgium, where this catastrophe took place, soil over 70 million years old was discovered by builders.
They discovered stone walls on this old ground that were built by people, even though scientists generally agree that humans did not exist 70 million years ago.
Robert Garcia, a fan of historic buildings and amateur archaeologist, is the one responsible for this incredible find. Robert has started a side project to construct his ideal home close to a fort from World War II.
The building is nine floors high at the moment. A system of tunnels that finally led Robert and his colleagues to these old cave constructions was discovered since some of the rooms were to be constructed below ground.
Roberte’s deep interest in archaeology allowed him to date the soil layers with accuracy.
As of late, all excavation activities in the region have been suspended by local officials to save and conserve this incredible discovery.
