According to reports, 18-year-old Shiloh Jolie-Pitt filed legal documents to alter her name.

The 18-year-old Shiloh Jolie-Pitt submitted legal documents on May 27 to take her mother Angelina Jolie’s last name rather than her father Brad Pitt’s.
She wishes to go by “Shiloh Jolie” for the time being, which is her first mature move.
Shiloh turned in the paperwork on Memorial Day, which also happened to be her birthday, according to a recent TMZ piece. The name change plan has not yet received legal approval, but it will soon become official.
Shiloh’s decision is consistent with family custom; it is said that her sisters Zahara and Vivienne have also omitted the word “Pitt” on a few occasions.
People reported in May 2024 that she is listed as “Vivienne Jolie” on the playbill for the musical “The Outsiders,” noticeably missing “Pitt.” Vivienne’s new name represents a significant shift in her public persona.
As a production assistant, Vivienne supports her mother Angelina, who is the show’s producer. She often travels with her mother on the musical’s promotional tour.
In November 2023, Zahara joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. at Spelman College. In a video that Essence shared, Zahara’s new sorority sisters can be seen cheering her on as she enters the stage.
She proudly said, maybe leaving out her father’s last name, “My name is Zahara Marley Jolie,” before starting to dance and flip her hair.
Alongside their name change, Angelina and Brad are also mired in legal issues.
The couple’s involvement in fights over their shared ownership of a French winery and allegations of abuse are causing the family significant financial and emotional distress.
After filing for divorce in 2016, the court declared in 2019 that Angelina and Brad were no longer legally single. One of the main points of contention in their post-divorce court disputes remains their 2021 joint custody agreement.
