Legendary actresses Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno and Sally Field stunned in a final group photo at the premiere of their latest film 80 for Brady at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in California last week.

For 85-year-old Fonda, the event comes after she revealed she was in remission following her battle with cancer and was able to stop chemotherapy after undergoing treatment for six months.

At the time, the actress wrote on Instagram: “Last week the oncologist told me that my cancer is in remission and I can stop chemotherapy. I feel very blessed, lucky. Thank you all for praying and sending good thoughts my way.

“I’m sure that played a part in the good news.” I am especially happy because my first 4 chemo treatments were quite easy for me, just a few days of fatigue, the last chemotherapy session was difficult and lasted 2 weeks, which made it difficult to do much,” added she.

The cast wore mostly black to the premiere, with the exception of Moreno, who wore a delicate red scarf tied with a brooch and a trendy leopard print skirt.

80 For Brady is a comedy film centered on four best friends who embark on a wild road trip to see Tom Brady – who everyone is obsessed with – play in the Super Bowl in 2017. The actresses also spoke about the film during the premiere. with Fonda saying meeting Brady in the flesh made him “weak” in the knees. Fonda told The Hollywood Reporter: “He was kind and humble, which is hard to believe given how great he is at what he does, but it’s true. He was also sweet and kind.

“Actually, my knees went weak when he walked into my trailer. I am amazed by such skill. When someone is the best in the world at what they do, you have to respect and honor them. I was just amazed.” Tomlin agreed, adding, “Well, it was pretty cool. He is a good actor. He is very kind and humble […] I just look at his face and eyes and see him listening to me as an actor trying to respond in the same way. I felt like that [real] woman from Boston who was 80 years old. I actually felt like he was my son when I had to give this speech with him.”

Last year, Brady praised the women for their roles in the film – which is his feature debut as a producer – telling The Hollywood Reporter: “We found the most amazing actresses. Lily, Jane, Rita and Sally. They brought it all to life. At the end of the day, watching them act and perform was very interesting.”80 Because Brady is scheduled to hit American screens on January 28.
