It was like a “sugar cane feast” for 2 elephants being transported on 2 different trucks when they came upon a red light at an intersection, and a lorry carrying a truck full of bundled sugar canes stopped right beside them. Witnessing the hilarious scene, passersby grabbed their phones and captured them on video. The “encounter” between the truck full of sugar canes and the 2 elephants being transported was of perfect timing and caused hilarity among the people in the area.

Was it a coincidence that the lorry carrying bundles of sugar cane stopped right beside the 2 trucks transporting the elephants? Incidentally, sugar cane is one of the elephants’ favorite snacks. Taking advantage of the red light and the lorry within reach, the 2 elephants on separate trucks reached out their trunks, “stole” some of the sticks of sugar cane and started to feast. For these 2 majestic beings, it was like a blessing that fell from the sky when the lorry stopped beside them. Additionally, they were bored and hungry during the trip.

Locals claimed that the hilarious incident occurred in Changwat Nakhon Sawan (also known as North Rampo) in central Thailand in 2020. People who have recorded the funny scene shared their videos on various social media platforms and they have gone viral on the internet, including streaming sites.

A photo of the 2 elephants seemingly stealing sugar cane was shared on the Facebook group, Animal Meme Planet. Members of the Facebook community reacted and shared memes of the photo. Some of them left hilarious comments about the photo:

“Sugar Cane BUFFET!”

“The sugar cane truck came prepared.”

“Sugar cane supply.”

“This is a buffet on the road.”

“Supply truck. Do you think it’s easier for an aircraft carrier to dock?”

“It’s so nice to eat!”

“Stealing sugar cane!”

“Cargo owner: ‘I asked you to carry a truck of sugar cane. Why is there only half a truck left?’ Truck driver: ‘How the hell would I know???’” 😆

In fact, elephants getting sugar cane from trucks is a normal routine for elephants in Thailand. Witnessing such incidents is nothing new. Previously, various elephants on different occasions stopped trucks along Chachoengsao Road to get sugar cane, resulting in traffic.
